RenaultKoleos was replaced by a virtually all-new model in September 2016, so it's too soon to comment on it as a used car. However, its second-generation design is more French than its predecessor. It continues to share its platform with the Nissan X-Trail. Basedas it is on a Nissan X-Trail, the Koleos has to make do with a Nissan-sourced 2.5-litre four-cylinder. Driving the front wheels through a CVT, the driveline is the least Renault part of the car. Bear in mind that the CVT is not a favoured transmission of mine, so take from that what you will. Sawa Renault Koleos today and it looks pretty nice, basically an X-Trail mechanically, different looks inside and out. The Zen model is mid range , like the nissan ST-L I guess, but both have different things. We haven't driven one yet but I guess it will drive the same.
Anyway rant over. In almost every important dimension, the Nissan is usefully larger – by an additional 11mm in length (4680mm versus 4568mm), +105mm in height (1725mm v 1620mm) and +50mm in wheelbase (2705mm v 2655mm), while the ZR-V concedes just 1.0mm of ground clearance to the X-Trail’s 187mm.
